Michel has 24 years of medical device industry experience in North America and Europe leading international teams, raising capital, and developing innovative medical devices from concept to market. His prior startup roles include: Founder & CEO of iSTAR Medical; co-Founder, CEO & Chairman of Healionics; and co-Founder & Director General of Medimexico (acquired by NxStage / Fresenius Medical Care). A passionate entrepreneur and patented inventor, he is excited about pioneering the next generation of wearable devices to benefit patients. Michel earned an MBA from the University of Washington, a BSc from San Francisco State University, and an AA from De Anza College. He is fluent in English and Spanish, and basic French.
Marie is an international business development executive with 20 years of experience in the high tech and life science industries. She has created and nurtured sales channels in Asia, Europe, Latin America, USA and the Middle East. Her prior roles include Director of International Sales for innovative USA and European companies in the wound healing and dermatology sector including Procyte Corp. (acquired by Photomedex), and Helix Biomedix. Marie is a dual citizen of Belgium and the USA. She is fluent in English, French, Spanish, and some German. She earned her B.S. degree from the University of Washington with a focus in international management.
Pierre has 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry in various functions including R&D, regulatory and clinical affairs, quality management, market access and reimbursement. He has served both major corporations (GlaxoSmithKline, Baxter) and startups including iSTAR Medical. Holder of a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering and an International Executive MBA, Pierre's unique ability resides in a mixture of a creative and flexible approach to challenges, translating into a comprehensive and structured strategy, wrapped with a real passion for new technologies.
Philippe has 19 years of experience as an electro-mechanical engineer and team leader passionate about incorporating innovative design with solid engineering to develop next generation medical equipment and devices. His prior roles include Engineering Team Leader at GE Healthcare, Senior Engineer at Trasis, and Design Engineer at C.P. Bourg. Philippe received his Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Liège.
Justine has a passion for languages and a strong interest in responsible social media communication and community education. Her constant willingness to learn always motivates her to take up new challenges. Her past experiences within the healthcare industry include online community management for Lucimed SA and HoneyPatch SPRL. Justine earned her master’s degree in multilingual communication and an undergraduate degree in translation/interpretation from the University of Liège, Belgium. She is fluent in English, French, and Dutch.
Christian has 40 years of success with Fortune 100, emerging and mid cap companies in the dermatology and personal care industries. His prior roles include President of Neutrogena Int’l (sold to Johnson & Johnson), co-Founder and Director of NEXTDERM (sold to Procyte Corp.), and CEO of Laboratories UCB where he led the turnaround of the subsidiary of a $5B Belgian OTC pharmaceutical company. He has served as senior advisor to Dermatologic Cosmetic Laboratories (DCL), HydroPeptide, LLC, Lavico US, Parfums De Coeur, Hommage, Inc, and Nature’s Tears.Christian received an MBA from the École Superieure de Commerce in Paris, France. He is fluent in French, English, and Spanish.
Dr. Van Natta has been a practicing plastic surgeon for over 25 years. An early adaptor to new technologies, Dr. Van Natta is passionate about staying on top of the latest innovations. In addition to his active private practice, he is also a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Plastic Surgery section of Indiana University Medical Center, and travels extensively giving presentations nationally and internationally on breast surgery and soft tissue support. A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Van Natta is Medical Advisor for Allergan Breast Aesthetics. A graduate of DePauw University, he received his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine.
Adrian brings 30 years of experience as an accomplished Global Corporate Executive with astrong track record of commercial and operational leadership managing businesses inestablished and emerging markets. He launched and grew new businesses for Johnson & Johnson and Allergan in various markets including Wound Care, Women’s Health, Regenerative Medicine, and Plastic Surgery. After 20+ years, following his passion for developing new businesses and continuous learning, he shifted to smaller companies such as Lifecell, TissueTech and Galatea Surgical where he was responsible for commercial transformation and growth to position the companies for an exit. He is currently a Partner and Managing Director of Delta Gventures and a member of the Board of Directors of the School of Engineering for the University of Texas at Arlington. Adrian earned a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Texas at Arlington where he held a tennis scholarship, and an MBA at the University of NotreDame Mendoza School of Business.
Robin has over 20 years of experience with public and private company boards in medtech, biotech, pharma, and personal care products. She is currently President and CEO of Helix BioMedix (HXBM), a leading peptide therapeutics biotech in dermatology and personal care products. Previously she served as COO ofDERMAdoctor, and held senior marketing and sales positions at ProCyte and Baxter Healthcare. Robin is a patented inventor and recognized speaker/author on industry topics including peptides, aesthetic surgery and skin care. Robin holds a B.S. in Nursing from Seattle University and attended the UCLA Anderson Graduate School of Executive Management.
